Please mark your calendars for the following upcoming major Phil-Am and Phil-Am supported activities:


June 20, 2009 - Fiesta Filipino Gala Night at the Treasure Island.  This night is the culmination of Fiesta Filipino which started on June 6 at the Sammy Davis Jr., Festival Plaza by Lorenzi Park.  This night will also recognize the top 10 Fil-Am community leaders selected for their community service and contribution to the "Community of One" spirit for metro Las Vegas.  Ticket donations are $50.00 per person.  Pls. contact King Lion Josie Harrison for any questions or for the purchase of tickets.  Boxing sensation and champion, Manny Pacquio is expected to be one of the recipients of NaFFAA's awards.

June 27 - Bikolnon Association Bowling Fund Raising at the Texas Station and Casino.  Please call Lion Ceasar at 592-3067 to confirm.  There will be an announcement email prior to this event to serve as confirmation.

July 18 -  NaFFAA sponsored US Citizenship Outreach headed by our Immediate Past President Lion Atty. Rex Velasquez.  All available members are expected to come out and support Lion Rex and his team.  Location TBD.  Pls. contact Lion Rex for any questions regarding this event.

August 1 - Bugsy's Banquet Hall (corner of W Sahara Ave and Jones next to Manila Goodha Restaurant).  2009-2010 Fil-Am Lions Induction Ceremonies.  This will be a Hawaiian Luau theme so dust off your Hawaiian dresses and shirts.  Please contact Lion Beverly (Treasurer), 845-3148 or KL Josie, 556-9952, for questions or tickets.  Dinner donation is $35.00 per person.  We are accepting souvenir program ads now. 

New members will also be inducted during this event.

August 22 and 23  - Philippine Consular Outreach at the Masonic Temple (corner of 95 Fwy and Rancho Blvd), sponsored by the UPAAN.  Please contact Lion Beth Ilagan for questions on this upcoming event.  Her phone no. is 858-1797.

September 26 - Bikolnon Association of Las Vegas' Lady of Penafrancia Festival at the Lorenzi Park (corner of Rancho and Washignton), starting at 11:00 a.m.  Enter Twin Lakes Road at Washington.   

There will be plenty of food, entertainment, camaraderie.  Please contact Lion Marlon Multo at 742-8427 or Lion Ceasar Elpidio for details or questions regarding this family event.

September (date TBA) - Lion Judge Frank Sullivan's Family picnic.

September (date TBA) - Bikolnon and Fil-Am Lions Golf Tournament Fundraiser.  Pls. contact Lion Maria Pijuan for details.

October  - Filipino Heritage Month Celebration.  Proposed planned Community Vision Screening and Health & Wellness Fair.  Pls. contact Lion Dr. Jun Aragon, 813-8823 for location and details.

October 10 and 11 - Philippine Consular Outreach at the Masonic Temple.  Please contact Lion Doc Aragon at 813-8823 for more info.  There will be a Vision, Health and Wellness Fair on October 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

October 24 - Fil-Am Heritage Gala Night at the Treasure Island.  Ticket donations will be $50.00 per person.  Pls. contact Lion Beth Ilagan or Lion Doc Aragon for more info.

October 31 - Pinoy Fiesta  at the Sammy Davis Festival Plaza.  Bring your neighbors, friends, family to this event.  There will be lots of cultural dances, Santa Cruzan, Art Exhibits, food booths, singers and dancers to entertain you and your family.  Come meet your fellow kababayans from all over.  Network with fellow business people.  Rent a booth and exhibit your products and services.  We expect close to or over 1000 guests.

Bring all your family, prospective lions members, neighbors, and friends to this another fun event before the Thanksgiving break.

December 1 - 20 - TBA.  Christmas Caroling for all available Fil-Am Lions members.  Caroling is one of our best fundraisers.  Our club normally generates between $1500 to $2500 from this  caroling fundraiser.  All members are encouraged to join us spread the holiday cheers to the various homes and businesses within our Fil-Am community.  Please contact Lion Bernie or KL Josie  to express your desire to join this fun activity.
